- Barn invested and coached for at least 6-12 months.
- Starting to enter growth mode.
- Valuation is under $5m and market size is large.
- Early signs of healthy retention and churn.
- Investment primarly will be used for improving product and growth.
What should I know as an investor?
- If investing in a startup, can write at least a $10k check.
- Understands how power law driven investments work.
- We aim for 4-8 deals a year.
- No management fees. We only win if the company wins.
- Placement fees are dependent on software we’re raising through (Angel List, etc).
- Upon distributions, 100% principal back to investor, then 80% to investor, 20% to 25 Ships, no pref.
- We’re looking for investors who are active and communicate.
- Bringing strategic connections is insanely helpful.
